How does Waypointing work?

I understand the basics of "go to the map, right-click to make an waypoint, click it again to disable it, or click elseware to move it." The problem is I was commanding a squad earlier tonight (made CR1) and they couldn't see my Waypoints. I set them but only I could see them. Someone said there are personal and command waypoints. If this is true how do you toggle? Basically if someone could give me a run down on using waypoints as a commander that would be great.

Your half right. the right click waypoint is a personal waypoint thta only you can see. To make a group waypoint, go to the map, click the Command tab, then click add waypoint. you can now click to add, and click again to remove up to 4 waypoints, they wil appear as a yellow beam coming down form a space station.

(Yellow might be just for NC, I think TR waypoints are red)
