Anyone else notice this?

It's just a little quirm I have with a lot of the planetside beta players but I've noticed it a lot as I'm one of those ubah forum lurkers. People keep using everquest terms in reference to planetside. Like dueling people, corpse looting, and a lot of other eq terms I can't recall off the top of my head. After playing so many FPS in my time it drives me nuts.

Anyone else feel this way or am i just being oversensitive? I feel like when this game first comes out there will be tons of former Everquest players shouting, "How do you push the attack button and hit things!?".

Deep down inside I sort of want them to stay. I would enjoy being on top of the fps food chain.

I don't see it at all, cause ya can't duel (well... it'd be tough), and corpse looting isn't specific to eq. But maybe I'm in denial because I don't want eq fans discover planetside. I've met too many annoying EQ fanboys.

I've seen them alot, Drives me crazy seeing EQ terms. Make me want to TK, There are really common on Vanu (Markov)

The VS is obviously the most "fantasy" like empire, maybe EQ players like that..

I haven't noticed too much of a term leakage, but on a side note, I've learned a new term.

E T A = Expected Time of Arrival

Hacks do not move. Therefor, they wouldn't be able to arrive anywhere. Learn the military terms so you can use the correctly!

Actually ETA can be used in this situation. The hack takes 15 mins, so technically, the hack only ARRIVES (aka, gets there, happens.. ) at the end of the 15 mins..
