i play a TR, and i love the cycler but if i can get my hands on a gauss, especialy if the fighting is outside, i will switch right away. if you are a decent player and not just a bullet sprayer than the gauss is far better than the cycler. not sure about the pulsar, i refuse to use plasma weapons.

for inside fighting though, the cycler is definatly better than the gauss... i kept going toe to toe with a guy last night just me and him in a base. it was cycler vs. gauss and 9 out of 10 times he got me just cause of the accuracy and speed difference.

now u could say he was just a better player but even so, out of how many times we went at it he still should have bitten the big one more often than he did.

later i got tired of dying so i brought the jackhammer into it and proceded to blow his guts accross the wall.

I think that's a little misguided. This game doesn't take a whole heckuva lot of skill to begin with and the cycler (if you fire in very short bursts) has spectacular accuracy.
