when PS comes out, i was gonna certify in the deliverer, because i thought it would be something diff. and useful, but it seems like the sunderer is a way better choice. i was hoping the deliverer would atleast drive better but according to the official site, it is also poor handeling. I just dont think being about to travel over water at 33% is worth the less defense, smaller truck room, smaller people capacity, and same driving physics. So for those that know, how many deliverers do you see in PS ,and would you want one when you could get a galaxy, or sunderer?

you know what I think they should do to the deliverer....
make it into a hummer type vehicle. Hmmm lets see Only one gun on top: more powerful than the current guns, and make it 360 degree turret like. The gun would be AI and AA so like a chaingun or something like a .50 cal modern day machine gun. hmmm..... or you could make it have gunner certs, like a chaingun what not cert and a grendae launcher cert...so whatever the gunner has thats whats on top of the vehicle. Then you could vary the passenger capacity if u wanted to or leave it. So there would be a driver, co-pilot (passenger seat), then the gunner and the rest of the passengers. Still no max. Maybe also make it so that the gunner could get shot and die without the vehicle blowing up. then the co-pilot or someone in abck could hop into the gunners position if htey had the cert. Just rambling of some ideas Flame away hahaha Oh and the manuverability and speed would certainly increase as well. So a bit slower and less manuverable than the harraser Last edited by SuperGlue; 2003-05-08 at 12:07 AM. |

/me is pissed at this subject
I don't mind the deliverer, it seems find i guess (i honestly RARELY see one) but today a deliverer killed me in about 4-5secs tops. Now this would be fine if i wasn't IN MY LIGHTNING! Wtf?! Since when does a machine gun chew up tank?!! The lightning needs a serious boost in armor. |

I drive the deliverer... that thing has at least as much off road ability as a marauder if not more. I also am attracted to lakes, so being that the thing is amphibious I don't have to worry about drowning It is nearly unbreakable, I've rolled it, jumped off cliffs and it rarely takes damage. Also, being that the thing is armed with the same guns that are on the reaver, it rules at tearing up tanks, aircraft and other vehicles.

You guys do realise that the deliverer carries 2 20mm cannons, not some pissy machine gun, thats a hell of a lot bigger than a .50cal MG. You find 20mm's on modern day attack helicopters, eg the Apache, and that thing chews up tanks fast =)
Also, the reaver carries 2 20mm cannons, so your basically packing reaver guns with most likely better accuracey and 360 degree fire area. Other good points about the deliverer though, as mentioned before, its water crossing ability is great, so its really good for going behind enemy lines and grabbing towers. It's AA capabilites are really nice with those guns. Also, its handling is great, the site lies. It is by far the best transport for off roading, bar the galaxy, which is very hard to get when ure attacking a continent. Deliverer tends to roll onto its wheels no matter what you do, so go deliverer =)
