Dont get me wrong, I love sunderers I just have to concede their not very usefull most times as opposed to a galaxy so here are a few small changes I'd make to the sunderer to compensate for the fact that it's cert costs the same as a galaxy. They arnt a package merely individual ideas, I actualy rate them in order of importance at least in my mind.
1. Give it treads! The Sunderer needs some semblance of offroad cability this is why people always pick the gal over the sunderer if they have any semblance of an option. It takes too long to get around via roads (the artic ones jump to mind) to make it an effective combat vehicle. 2. Let it carry a third and possibly even a fourth MAX, possibly even in an optional Max or Soldier slot, it seems reasonable to me after all I whould assume the only reason the Gal carries so little is because the engines required to get it off the ground plus the weight of carrying a vehicle preclude it from carrying multiple MAX' 4. Give the Sund cloak tech (not infiltrator tech) make it have no radar signature, this is such a small compensation it seems like almst nothing at all. 5.Give the guns an alternate firemode so the Sunderer cant be taken out by a lighning just by getting up in it's face. Or even better give the sunderer (especialy if treads are put in) the ability to run over anythign smaller then a tank dealing damage to the other vehicle but not the sund.

I think he meant cloak tech like the AMS, so you have to deploy it for it to be invisible and thus cant drive around with it.
Would be a mean ambush machine

The Sunderer isn't broken. It is actually a very capable vehicle. I drove one right up until the character wipe that happened yesterday. Just like everything else in the game you have to learn what it is and then what is the best way to use it.
What it is, is a troop transport. What it isn't, is an assault vehicle. Yes, it has guns on top, but they are really only effective on ground troops at range. (and every there they are pretty weak) Usually when travelling with the sunderer the roads are the safest place for it. It likes to roll way too much and fast undulations in the ground make it very unstable when at speed. The best places I have found the sunderer useful are troop transport right up until you enter the SOI, and a road block, especially on a bridge. My squad usually uses it to cover an exit or entrance to a base, tower, etc. Part of the major usefullness of the vehicle is having a squad that knows when to get the "f" out before it takes the squad with it. Reavers and MAXs and Phoenix users are the bane of the sunderer. All they have to do is rush the vehicle and you can kiss it goodbye. We refer to it lovingly as the "RV of Death" |

Its got massive ammounts of armor, its two guns can be extremely effective, ask the poor NC tank drivers who kept coming after us, and it gets a full squad around. The only continent that the sunderer suffers is Cery (i've not been on essamir) cause all the cliffs. Yeah, its an RV of Death, just to the fools who attempt to attack it. I still think some of the funnier things i've ever seen are infanttry trying to zerg a sunderer. if the manage to survive the hail of cannon fire, they're usually either 1. Ran over or 2. Met with a nice fresh, just popped out of the can, full squad of ass kickin.

If anything sunderer is too powerful (as stated in item b section 25 "Last night alone, our sunderer took out a vanguard. And 3 lightenings tried desperately to take us out. Not to mention the sunderer can run downa dnthrough any max on the road.") i've gotten my lightning creamed many times by sunderer's. It's fine the way it is, the deliverer and lightning needs some change though. Lightning needs more armor and the deliverer needs it's guns toned down against armor.

i'll agree that the lightening's armor is paper thin, but the sunderer is not overpowered. you gotta realize is that we've been using the sunderer for a long time, our driver knows a good attack speed and keeps our ride nice and smooth.
We two gunners have been workin' together for a long time, and have a real good ability to plant our shots on our targets a good 80% of the time, plus we always attack the same target. And the vanguard was a one on one fight (we stopped for repairs afterwards). The lightenings was a 3 on one, but they were rookies in their tanks (could tell by the way they moved). With focused fire, we just tore people up. Lightenings need a bit more armor - as it stands now, it takes only 4 striker missles to blow one up = to a reaver. I needs an increase to about 6 striker missle armor level.
