Just had a new idea. As a fan of the the battles of Stailgrad and Berlin I've noticed a lack of true interior and urban combat in this game. I propose to add a few urban "cities" to the map. i not talking about huge NYCs and LAs however. They should be like Stalingrad as in center around a few key buildings with smaller redsidential and commercial areas surronding them. They should feature things along the lines of undergroudn sewer systems that would allow for alternate ways to flank a well-entrenched enemy position.
Course the building would not be destroyable b/c of lag issues and rebuilding (though it would be nice to have a fortress of rubble and iron to resist the attack ) |

No no I'm just think where all the cillvians live. In milltary bases and towers? And maybe not on the most fought over central contients. But it would seem like a good idea for the ones that are in the contient before the empire's sanc. Givew you an idea of fighting for the homeland.
r3d: Hell I would be happy if they put this as something to expand the game's content. Would be easier to code then a navy or underwater bases....Or orbatal space cannon of death...... |

well i do, as of now i gather that combat revolves around bases, the open is just to, well, 'open'. urban combat would make it nicer to fight out side of a base(?)
And he does have a point, where do all the civilians live? have they been evacuated to space and their houses reduced to rubbles? then at least there would have to be some remains left to fight in?

Every human on Auraxis was originally part of the Terran force of soldiers and military scientists sent to Auraxis to study and secure it. There are no real civilians, and it hasn't been around long enough for there to be any real urban growth.
As for urban conflict, I don't know. I get enough of that in the basement of facilities I think. |
