Sunday, May 11th
1) Fixed a floating bridge segment, a slightly sunken tower, and a couple of interpenetrating objects on several maps. 2) Reduced the number of continental lattice links, as well as made them more geographically logical. 3) Bridges now show up on the Proximity Map. 4) Waypoint indicators now appear on the Proximity Map again. 5) You should no longer be able to get your MAX weapons to appear in your (*cough*) lower abdomen. 6) VoiceIP hosting options are now available to set the codec being used (to reduce bandwidth for voice, if desired) as well as to set the actual port and IP being used. 7) The incorrect (and often misleading) warpgate signs have been removed from the Sanctuary Villas. 8) Improved the Deliverer's handling at top speed so it can turn better. 9) Improved the agility of the Harasser as well. 10) After analyzing experience curves, we are reducing experience gained for soldier and vehicle kills. This is the first step in a multi-part experience overhaul and is the small part of the change. 11) The Basilisk certification has been reduced from 3 points to 2 points

Still nothing about the mini map in the upper left hand corner only having a dot to represent you. Should be something a little bigger so I know the orientation of my vehicle to waypoints.

Cleared up after you left. Ha! j/k
Well, I haven't played much since the patch today, but I don't expect much problem with the exp thingy. I don't like the treadmill anymore than anyone here, but it did seem pretty easy to get exp... I figured after a week of playing I'd have all I needed. Only thing real useful as a squad leader is CR1 to get waypoints, and all I really need is a vehicle, some armor, and a gun. Not many certs there. |

A patch or two ago they claimed to have fixed some of the 9700 lock up bugs. I ran into one last night however. :/
As far as Emerald lag is concerned, yes it is generally bad. Earlier last week it was absolutely outrageous, so bad that I switched back to markov just so I could play. Two east coast servers will be good. I am trying to figure out how the new gold and blue balls method of determining a server's population works, but Emerald consistantly has a whole lot more gold balls than either of the two west coast servers and I'm sure that probably is contributing to the retarded lag. |
