Same CRC error after 3 downloads

I downloded the beta three times. Each time, when I install, I get a crc error when it is unpacking 3dsounds.wav. If I hit ignore, I get a catastrophic error and an error in kernel32.dll. Anyone have ideas? I have 256 M of memory, and Windows ME, could that be the problem?

This was the FilePlanet free beta download, right?

Yes, it was the fileplanet download. And now that I have 640 M of memory, I still get the same error. Anyone have any suggestions?

a CRC error means that the file has been corrupted somewhere along the line...

whats the filesize of the thing you have downloaded? checked for viruses? errors on your HD? Tried saving the file to a different location when you download? tried/used a download manager?

I have now downloaded the file from fileplanet 4 times. THe size on each of the downloads is 1,432,876,078 bytes. Now, with the latest download, it errs while it is unpacking planetside.exe in the windows\temp\tempinstall directory. It gets to 84% and then says i/o error. This is very weird.
