I've been in 'the local store', they can only tell me planetside will be released to europeans on the 22nd of juin, and hell, that is CRAP! It's just freakin stupid to wait until Ubi Soft wants to release planetside... I know this happens more and surely it happens sometimes with hell longer delays, but it's just for you europeans to know.
Nothing confirmed and you should be able to get a copy using internet (actually BUY it off course, illegals won't work in these games ^^ ) But well, that means they close doors for people who want to play on European servers, and also they close doors for those who cannot pay using internet, obviously some peepz under 18 who can't acces a creditcard and don't have a daddy who loves to pay using these modern methods (like me :'( ) now you know europeans have to wait until 22nd of juin to actually play planetside the way they have to! And meanwhile, i'm gonna upgrade my pc a bit ^^

I think the other important question is when are the European servers gonna be up ... ???
22nd/23rd May or are we gonna have to wait .... !!! I just read that the retail boxes are gonna allow you to connect to which ever server you wish (US/Euro/Aus) so are Ubi-Soft going to give us our own on release or do we have to play on the lag ridden US servers ..... ????

I think the delay is just for localisation. The UK players should have the game in stores the May 23th, But for the other countries they're surely translating the manual... But it still suck, Ubi should have done it sooner...

Go to www.amazon.co.uk and order it there. They deliver to the rest of Europe. It'll take a few days to arrive but it's a lot faster than waiting till mid June!

well guys,
if UK has lag, would it be much of a difference if i live in Belgium? Germany or Holland? Hell no, so localization is shit, releasing and having server nearby it's not the same and doesn't make much of a difference to most - not to me. It is clear i'll be propably ordering it using amazon or such, and don't forget those subscription card they promise to us! Wich do make it possible to play planetside without having to pay using creditcard and such. The last thing i have to say: Ubi is going down to ta ground! Since they release it ONE month after europeans can get it online, changes are little that less then 80% of europeans won't have it before that release date, because hell, this is the thing people call 'Pay to play' or 'Creditcard-of-dad to play', so if you can play, offcourse you can pre-order it already! -But lets just hope European store-versions won't be better-

don't order it from amazon.co.uk - get it from www.play.com - they have free shipping (and besides..play rocks far more than amazon does). Release date everywhere in UK is 23rd.
If I were any other country I'd do what they call Grey Marketing. Which is importing a different language version from another country (i.e. UK into Germany) - but thereby cutting down the country's sales...oh well...that's why sim-shipping should be done on any major title that ya wanna make money on. |
