Ok, you asked for opinions, so here is mine. I don't think the game as it currently stands is worth $50 up front and $13 a month after the first one, so I won't be playing it for now. Perhaps once the box itself drops in price to $30 or less or the subscription price comes down to under $10. That's my opinion, and I'm curious to hear what others think.

Technically, EQ is $12.95, but what are 4 cents between business partners? I know that the box will drop, and I am waiting for that at the least before I pick up the game. Oddly enough, I stopped playing EQ when they raised the price to $12.95, and I don't see Planetside as being worth that amount of money currently either. If I still played EQ, I'd be more likely to get the "all access" pass and play both EQ and PS, and probably throw EQ:OA into the mix as well. Since I do not, I will wait and see what happens.

They seem to be doing pretty well. They already have all four servers up like they did for beta. I'm not sure what it was, but I had a hell of a lot of fun playing tonight, more than usual. Maybe it won't last, but as long as there's a chance of it, I'll keep playing. Besides, I've paid $50 for crap games before. At least this game I know I'll enjoy for a couple of months at least instead of buying it and thinking it's crap right away.
