As far as real life equipment for Planetside ..
1. Should I get a headset? Is voice chat used often enough to make it worth it? 2. Should I get a nice joystick? Will I need rudder, throttle, lots of triggers, hat switch, etc? Compared to BF1942, how are the vehicle physics? Thanks in advance, I want to compress all my purchases into one big trip to Best Buy =) |

my guess, and I am a n00b at PS but a vet of other online fps squad stuff is get the headset if you are going to play seriously. joystick, not so sure, I control the flying vehicles w/ the mouse and keyboard just fine. It's not like bf1942, the "planes" can hover and strafe, etc.

having a clan and team speak is really handy considering that in a fire fight you dont have time to type and fight
