Base hopping, tactics and suggestions

I am CR2 TR on Markov and wanted to shared my experiences. I have been increasingly using a base hopping tactic and found myself out of the action more and more.
With the way the XP system works you have the most to gain and can only keep team mates happy by making base caps. When a team member stays in the soi during the cap he can get the time slices which translates to XP for the whole squad.
Since I'm directing the action, coordinating the team, reviewing the map, tracking where everyone is etc- I tend to appoint myself that position and order the rest onward to the assault the next base. When multiple hacks are in place I appoint someone to stay in the soi.
That shouldn't be necessary, it's boring for the those who wait in the soi and detracts from the action game this is supposed to be. I may be doing some good staying in the rear but I still have an urge to enter the battle and help my team mates..
I think they should make the cap system such that if you hack the base, control the nearest tower and keep the base completely free of the enemy for 3-5mins then the base is yours.
