Patch downloads?

Read in some thread about a guy that had to wait 6 hours to download the patches...
Any way to download them without having the game? Im at work now with a pretty fast connection and will buy the game on my way home.
It would be nice to have all the patches downloaded already.

You need the SOE Launcher, it downloads all the patches there.
