why does everyone suck so much?

Is it the people or something about forums that makes people such assholes? Every forum I go to the smallest slight can ignite a flame war. Do people really take communication with people they don't know and probably never will so seriously? C'mon you flaming ******* out there, lighten up. Who gives a fuck if the guy on the other side of the modem thinks you have a tiny dick? You should be secure enough by age 15 that noone's insults to you can change your outward mood, ESPECIALLY if it is not even in person.
It is also sad that moderators say "We will tolerate no flaming here" but do it rampantly themselves, saying "oh, I'm not flaming, I'm expressing an opinion." Sonsabitches.

btw, this is a rant. I'm not insulting anyone. I am saying that you should have enough self control and security to control yourself over petty slights and trivial issues online.

I like to think of it as more constructive criticism than whining, but I suppose it could be interpreted as such.

EDIT: So I look at darkbane's personal title, look at his advice, and come to a logical conclusion. As for PS, it has a lot more than when I first joined, not so long ago. Fortunately, it is one of the less flamey forums out there, but I was referring to forums in general and people's need to make smartass comments over every typo and thing that he thinks is a mark of idiocy.

Moloch, you obviously havn't been around PSU long. PSU is the most spam/flame/whiner free of any forums out there, including other fansites. Stick around here for a few days, see how you like it.

Our moderators are extremely laid back, and they will let people's opinions be heard... but when someone starts obviously flaming, we notice, and we take care of it.

Hey not all guys are like that. I try to avoid a lot of useless flaming(although noone can completley avoid it) while i post stuff, and im a guy.
