The 3 fronts: Balanced or Unbalanced?

There are 3 front to planetside: Indoors, Outdoor Ground, and Outdoor Air. Each one takes specific strategy to be excercised in order to come out on top in a battle. Indoors needs weapons like the sweeper, the thumper, grenades, and empire specific heavy assault weapons. Outdoors- well that depends on the type of terrain: lots of shrubbery and tree cover gives the upper hand to infantry and max units, while wide open plains give the advantage to fast vehichles and reavers. Plains with trees for cover give the advantage to heavy tanks like the Mag and Vangaurd. The Air is a simple front, with the upper hand to whoever is the better pilot. If yer a good pilot in a mosquito, u can do good recon and out maneuver or outrun a reaver. If yer very accurate, then you'll blow the mosquito to smitherines with a salvo of rockets from a reaver.
But do certain empire gain an upper hand in these fronts due to their so called "over powered" units or weapons?
For example, do the NC own the indoor battlefield due to the massive strength of the Jackhammer? Do the TR have the upper hand against vehicles because their MAX units were modified to be too versatile? I'd like some responses on what the community thinks.

I think it's most ly evened out. I dont think however that the jackhammer rules the indoors. a reinforced can easily be torned up with a chaingun or lancer, which when used indoors is hard to dodge due to the lack of space to run to.

The onyl thing i think is that the lancer is a little bad outdoors, completley. Those shots are like the easiest thign to avoid. They're best ued for sneak attacks, where you get hit with it twice without being able to racet, and you're dead.

Well, 'popular opinion' seems to be that the TR pounder MAX is distilled pwnage indoors. Also, the VS MAXs seem to get the short end of the stick indoors because jets are useless.

imho

VS is really weak in anti-air ability. Lancer is hard to shoot those Reaver and Reaver can really become a huge treat for VS. However, Striker and Phoenix really make a big headache for those VS Reavers. IMHO, I really don't mind if you nerf the Lancer infrantry sniping damage but giving them a homing ability towards any vehicles and MAX like Striker did.

VS just need a gun which is as good as Jackhammer and Cycler.

Anyone who think TR are overpowered should really go play NC or VS on the Werner server, those empires actually play their empire how they are supposed to play, and they pwn every time, TR are WEAK.

From what i've seen lately as a NC in large scale battles is:

When fighting outdoors, if the TR is able to push forward and break enemy lines, they will constantly tear through the opposition. Their maxes and high ROF weapons are unstoppable in close range fighting. They also have nice AA weapons that, when in a large battle, make taking them out from the air difficult. If we (NC) can keep the TR at a distance our higher accuracy weapons do really well against them. We need to keep them inside and around a tower where we can pick them off when they exit and then keep trying to pour enough people inside to overpower them. When it is a base fight I usually will try to keep pouring soldiers into the base and force them to respawn, thereby draining the base's energy.

The VS doesn't fare as well against air attacks. They do some damage but are not as successful in huge scale battles as the TR. I haven't done a huge amount of fighting against them and feel much more confident in large scale battles against the VS then the TR. I think that they fair decently well in either close quarter nmuch like the NC.

i think you misunderstand. the New conglomerate do have a better accuracy and stronger shot than the TR, but the sheer rate of fire and mass amounts of ammo that the TR can unload increases the chance of them hitting the target within a certain amount of time, therefore giving them an equal advantage at a distance. Although this is true, i do think that TR need MORE recoil on weapons like the cycler, but not too much more. The gauss is the best outdoor weapon imo, but its also good the way it is. The pulsar needs recoil adjustment, cuz it has way too much. Also, i think vanu vehicles need a strafing speed upgrade.
imho the thing that will determine outdoor battles is the terrain of the continent or specific area. Take solsar for example.
AIR WILL OWN SOLSAR INSIDE OUT. It is virtually impossible to take the inpregnable facilities at the top with vehichles (let alone infantry) if your enemy uses proper recon, because the hills are so f**cking big!Not to mention that on that mountain their isnt a tree in sight for miles, and whenn you finaly reach them they are nothing but dead, leafless sticks styck in the ground every mile or so. Did i mention the lava pits?
I think you see what I'm getting at. Outdoor battles are and WILL be determined a squads ability to provide the proper army to deal with terrain.

Im playing Vanu on Werner and it is a VERY fair fight. I've felt owned a few times, ive NEARLY felt sorry for the opposition a few times. One thing I really wish I had was the Terrans sidearm for my Infiltrator. My GOD does that thing own ass. Ive (with a backpack full of ammo) taken TR Maxx`s down with just that gun and being able to fire an accurate shot as an inf is a godsend. No more having to jump down on guys running under the walkways and getting close with the AMP. Stand ON the walkway and put 4/5 shots at him

it is definitely about bringing the "proper" army to the battle...

I find that if we need air superiority, I simply switch to the anti-vehicle infantry weapons...

It takes 4 homing missiles (which includes a reload) to bring down an undamaged reaver, or 3-4 to kill an undamaged max without the shield implant...

I will load up with 15 rockets and head out into the trees/hills, killing 3-4 "high profile" targets, rarely if ever getting touched until an infantry gets to my position.

It is really quite simple.

All of the AA Max's are quite good in my experience too, can definitely wipe out a reaver if they get the first shots.
