The Xbox is...

I do expect biased results because this is a message board for a PC game, but who cares anyway!?

So I wanted to know what everyone thinks of the Xbox. I work at EB, and for some reason a lot of people that own an Xbox are just weird.

I mean, they have some sort of hurtful pride because the system of their choice isn't the market leader, or because everyone else has a PS2 and can't see how "inferior" the PS2 is because PS2 games don't look as good.

The bottom line is this: *Some* People that own an Xbox, and only an Xbox, think its the damned second coming of Jesus. For some reason, they think its a highly superior system in every way, and most of them because it has the best graphics. When asked how the Xbox 1st party titles stack up against Nintendo's 1st party titles, they shrug it off because "Nintendo is for kids(Because we all know when a new nintendo game comes out, all the kids from 7-14 years of age take an hour break from their full time job and shell out $50. Nintendo games are like movies like Shrek, Monsters Inc., or Finding Nemo. At first glance they look like just kids' movies, but when you actually watch it you realize it has an amazing depth and tact that can keep any adult entertained)" When comparing Xbox game selection to PS2's, most of them just say, "Well most of those games suck." Hello? Bruce Lee, Kung Fu Chaos, Mercedes World Racing, New Legends, <insert Xbox 1st party sports game>, Azurik?

So that's my rant. Oh yeah I know since I work at EB please don't associate your one or two bad experiences with some EB/Gamestop/Best Buy/Circuit City associate with me. I've had bad experiences too, and we're all human. And if you do decide to make a comment...well I only make $7/hour and still live with my parents, so I just insulted myself before you could! HAHA SOMEONE BEAT YOU TO THE PUNCH! ...ok time to switch to decaf.

PS. Yes you have Xbox Live. Isn't Ghost Recon and RTCW so cool on it? Now you know how much fun I had playing those games online...TWO YEARS AGO!

PPS. I do own an Xbox. I'm happy with it...BUT. Being someone who owns a good PC and multiple game systems I realize if you want all the best games, you need to own all 4(PC, Xbox, PS2, GC). Its just the Xbox fanbois who think its the "only" system worth having that push mah buttons!

Exclusive Best-Selling Xbox Titles-Halo
Exclusive Best-Selling PS2 Titles-Too many to list.
Exclusive Best-Selling GC Titles-Many, with very notable games in there.

I prefer the GC due to the quality of the games. PS2 is in second, with the wide variety of games, Xbox is in 394830th with the tiny variety of games, it's one best-seller, and the fact it has the same games as everyone else.

GC is great, it has Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, and many other greats.
X-Box has.....Halo. Which is being ported to PC as we speak.
PS2 has tons of good games, but fewer great games than GC.

So, besides Metroid Prime...no. I can look past those games' appearances (Hey, I'm Vanu, so that's a given), but they just didn't interest me. Puzzles really simplistic. Not good when trying to be a puzzle game. But I'm a little older than that target audience, so it's excusable for me. I'll stick with Eternal Darkness and PSO the few times I play GC.

My choice is NGC > Xbox > PS2.


Sony is a money grubbing company, they don't make games for their fans they make games to get the maximum amount of cash from it, even it means making a Spice girls game.

XBox is from a money grubbing company too however their console can actually live up to some of the hype.(unlike Sony's consoles) If i had the $$$ i'd get one, i probably wouldn't have many games on it but they do have quite a few worthy of purchase.

And NGC well not much to say there, Nintendo has always been a company for gaming fans who don't give a shit about hype and popularity. Say what you will about my kiddy console but i like having the RE series on one console or playing my kiddy version of Zelda.

I hate consoles... I don't like the fact that it's JUST gaming. Being able to fool around with the files and all that just makes it more exciting.

I play SOCOM on PS2 but I'll never buy an XBOX.

Don't worry about XBOX. Nes and PS will end that bitches existance. Bill Gates will get tired of XBOX taking heavy hits and quit. Lets hope so..

but anyways, I'd have to say the Xbox is a combination of a few of those choices, definatly the best DVD player I've bought. it mainly is a Halo TV adapter right now. but From all the games that were shown at e3 all is about to change....

My theory on X-box is as follows:

Bill Gates is the devil. Bill Gates runs Microsoft. Microsft=the root of all evil. Microsoft makes X-box. X-box is evil minion. (X-box sucks)
