They need to put in enforced visability limits based on weather, plus scaled effects relative to the storm type and side. Would add a huge tactical side to the game.

I have been in all kinds of storms. It does always rain on the NC sanc. Also on hossin, the fog is a light storm front(when you drawing range is cut down). The rain can get crazy sometimes, it even falls through the roof, damn leaky bases. It's all the prefab work. I use to see all these storms and cloud formations moving around on the global map, but some of them were just cloud formation. They didn't rain or have any wind for sand storms or any negative effects. Don't know the reason for them, but they were there. They were the green storm fronts, on the overhead cont map, that moved in. I do have to agree we need more. Had one wonderful storm on Solsar, I love the sand. It covered hapi to acan, complete crazyness.

I can't imagine a lot of TR have played in snow storms since there are NEVER any battles on Ceryshen, your snow covered home continent. I have fought there only a few times since I bought this game (right after release) but did fight in one snow storm there a long long time ago.

The snow storms make this howling noise like the wind and reduce your ability to hear things more than visibility. Sometimes it is hard to pick up a faint shooting of a gun when there is a bad snowstorm in the game.

there does need to be more weather
fog would be good and lightning that could zap a few plains out of the air in the middle of a storm would be cool it would also be fun if the volcano erupted and everyone caught in lava would instantly die

I've been in a few sandstorms and rainstorms. No snowstorms yet, though.

Personally, I think that sandstorms and really bad thunderstorms should damage aircraft that aren't grounded. It makes sense to me, anyway.

turbulence would be sweet, but a lot of pilots are stupid in this game. (a few weeks ago one told me he hit turbulence and was then hit by lightning twice in a storm while flying a mosquito at 400m).

besides, we can't fly over 400m ASL, so it can't get too realistic. turbulence/microbursts would be even worse in-game than in real life if implemented.
if you caught a draft while over center-ceryshen or -searhus you'd be scrap instantly.

if you added that kind of thing, you'd have to do away with the infantile controls and helicopter-like flight restrictions.

but, yeah. i like the weather.

I loved the weather element also. Though with my 512 mb ram and geforce2 mx video card it was quite laggy when we fell upon attack. (duststorm that is)

I still liked it though, adds a whole new dimention to the game. Cant see.. can hardly hear. It was great.
